We work quickly yet methodically - more so than most other so called repairers as we have been doing this a long time. So what we get done in an hour is usually more than others do in twice that time. Our workshop is set up with all the right diagnostic tools to help us be efficient and therefore more economical.

You start with our Diagnostic check fee of $77 and we will quickly tell you if the item is economically repairable.

Most of our work is done using cost effective fixed price packages that stop hourly charges "going through the roof". Just select the package you need from the list below and arrange to book in your computer system with us and we'll get right on it!

Diagnostic Check
This applies to all "items" brought in for repairs 

First we do a thorough Diagnostic Check. This provides you, and us, with a better picture of what is wrong, what is needed to cure the problem etc. We then contact you and advise what has to be done and additional costs if any. About 60% of our repairs are done within the Diagnostic check price.

If we are unable to fix it ourselves but know of another supplier who can we will request a quote from them. We will pay their quote fee from our $77 Diagnostic fee but we may also recover courier or additional quote fees (over the $77) if they are charged to us.

Note no backup is done in this Check. See backup below.

Basic Windows Re-Install

Windows can become corrupted or suffer from virus, malware, adware, spyware, root kits or wrong drivers. If its slowing down, acting funny (not as in ha-ha) or flashing up error messages your cheapest option is for us to do a clean install to "Factory Defaults". This includes:

  • Deleting the primary disk partition (C:) - *Unless backed up you will lose email, photos, documents, spreadsheets
  • Installation of operating system supplied by you - We must have a licensed original install disk or you will have to buy a new operating system
  • Installation of any drivers supplied by you - If you do not supply the driver disk additional charges will apply - see complete Re-install below
  • A system check and burn-in.

In other words - return it to you in the condition you originally bought it from a shop. You would then install your application software, anti-virus, printer and accessories - things most people can do.

This includes everything listed under the Basic Windows Re-Install but we spend an additional three to four hours getting the system completely up to date. Some of the things included are:

  • Motherboard BIOS and driver updates
  • Download and install the latest drivers/patches for peripherals, accessories and software (usually a few hundred MB)
  • Download and install all service packs and patches from Microsoft (usually a few hundred MB)
  • Download and install a free firewall or antivirus software (if you don't supply a commercial one)
  • Installing any legally supplied application software
  • Restore and test backup data for Outlook/Express, My Documents, Favorites, My Photos, My Music etc.
  • Set up and test internet connection
  • Set up and test accessories including printer, scanner, camera etc., (if supplied)
If you have limited computer skills this is exceptional value.

Backup charges

It is your responsibility to back up your data before you bring the system in. If you request us to back up we copy the contents of your old hard disk and then restore it to an "old disk” directory once your computer has been repaired. If space does not permit only My Documents, Favorites, Outlook/Express folders and addresses and other nominated folders will be backed up. We can back up to CD/DVD if required - additional charges apply.

Component Installation
(per item)
Fitting and installation of goods purchased from Techmart. This covers CD-R/RW, DVD-R/W, Printers, Modems, Digital cameras etc. Should the item prove to be incompatible with your existing equipment the charge will not apply and the goods will be refunded (offer excludes other problems preventing installation such as software and operating system issues).
please note that an extra $22 per item is charged if the product has not been purchased from Techmart.

Standard Labour

If required we can perform dedicated repairs and diagnostic reports.  This is charged at an inclusive hourly rate. If work is required out of hours Queensland Engineering Award overtime loadings and allowances apply.

Manufacturer Warranty

We can act as your agent when returning products to a supplier or manufacturer for a warranty claim. Cost covers freight for most items, handling charges and management of your warranty claim.

On-Site Our call out fee is $77 and includes travel up to 20km (each way) from the CBD. Once on-site we will determine if we can fix the system or have to take it back to the workshop. All work on site is done at hourly rates. If goods are taken back to the workshop a further call out fee applies and we will return the goods and reconnect them at your home. Please note that if we are required to pay for parking you will be billed for that.
